Old Timbers Bed and Breakfast is south of Alton, Hampshire in the village of Upper Farringdon, which is approximately 1 mile south of Chawton and the Jane Austen House Museum. Alton has a mainline rail service, connecting to London Waterloo. There is a taxi service at the station, as well as taxi ranks in Alton High Street.

Many visitors approach along the A32.

Driving south from Alton: Turn left at the crossroads, just passed a large motorcycle dealership which you will see on the right.

Driving north towards to Alton: Turn right at the crossroads just before the large motorcycle dealership, which you will see ahead of you on the left.

Follow the signs to "The Rose and Crown Inn" and continue through the village, until you see this pub, where you turn left in front of it. Continue for 150m and we are on the same lane, on the left side. Please come up the driveway and park on the gravel.
